Davis replaces Robert Caldwell who ran the office from 1986 to 1996. He came out of retirement in 1998 to recruit new talent to the struggling office and stayed six months longer than he originally planned. Last year, the office revenues jumped to $24 million, ranking it No. 2 among Grubb & Ellis' offices nationwide.
