Deutsche Post Takes Heathrow Shed

LONDON-Deutsche Post has taken a pre-let on a massive warehouse at Hayes, close to Heathrow Airport in West London. The deal underlines the continued strength of the Heathrow industrial market.

LONDON- Deutsche Post has taken a pre-let on a 164,620 sf unit at Sun Life’s Dawley Park warehouse scheme on Dawley Road, Hayes, Middlesex, at an initial rent of £11.35 ($16.11) per sf. A new 30-year lease has been agreed and a six-month rent-free period was granted.

Deutsche Post’s UK subsidiary Danzas will occupy the building, using Dawley Park’s last remaining 6.9 acres. The facility fronting Dawley Road will include around 36,000 sf of offices. Construction has already started and is scheduled for completion in February 2002.
