Marc Drumwright of Southwest Realty Advisors represented the Archers in the deal. John Young of MillsServices Corp. represented seller, Katy Mills Residual LP. Drumwright tells GlobeSt.com that the Katy Mills site has been master-planned by the seller. Katy Mills Residual has several sites picked out for car dealerships as well as other businesses that they would like to see start up near their retail complex.

The Archer family operates Chrysler, Jeep, Volkswagen, Dodge, Daewoo and recreational vehicle dealerships in the Houston area. Drumwright says the family had looked at several properties in the area before deciding on the 7.5 acres at Interstate 10 and Pin Oak. Drumwright says it took five or six months to close the deal. The family saw that car dealerships were starting to move further west on Interstate 10 and felt that this parcel was a good location for the submarket, he says.
