Trend Micro, which provides network antivirus and Internet content security solutions, has inked a five-year agreement to occupy 31,144 sf of flex-office space in the complex. The company will relocate from its current site at the Irvine Business Complex to the Palm Terrace space, which stands at 25531 Commercecentre Dr. Trend Micro is slated to occupy its new space in November 2001.

Barry Saywitz of the Saywitz Co. represented Cupertino-based Trend Micro. The landlord, Birtcher Real Estate Group of Laguna Niguel, was represented by Doug Mathews and Gary Allen of Grubb & Ellis' Newport Beach office.

Trend Micro will be joining new tenant Symbol Technologies Inc., which recently signed a $5.4 million lease for flex-tech space at Palm Terrace. Symbol will occupy a 42,090-sf facility that stands at 25541 Commercecentre Dr., as recently reported by Globest.com. Also slated to occupy its space in November 2001, Symbol signed a seven-year lease.
