Austin Semiconductor Space Comes to Market

AUSTIN-California-based Mattson Technologies is asking $3 million for an industrial building with 28,633 sf of office and warehouse space plus three cleanrooms in northeast Austin. Blame it on the semiconductor industry's downturn, say officials.

AUSTIN-Mattson Technologies Inc., a Fremont, CA-based company hit hard by the semiconductor downturn, is trying to sell an Austin building it picked up in an acquisition.

The building, located at 8306 Cross Park Dr. in Austin’s northeast submarket, has been occupied by Steag Electronics, which was purchased by Mattson earlier this year from its Germany-based parent company. With 16,300 sf of office and research and development space and 12,333 sf of warehouse space, the building also has three cleanrooms. The asking price is $3 million and the agent is Colliers Oxford Commercial in Austin.
