J.A. Green Plans Spec 905,000-SF Park

ATLANTA-Dallas-based J.A. Green Development Corp., a 60-year-old name synonymous with the development and management of airport-adjacent industrial buildings, plans to break ground in January on the first 350,000-sf phase of the J.A. Green International Distribution Center, a planned 905,000-sf, 72-acre business park at West Fayetteville and Pleasant Hill roads in nearby Clayton County.

The park will comprise 715,000 sf of warehouse, air cargo and freight-forwarding space and 190,000 sf of office. The spec-built park is expected to be completed in 2006.

Green officials could not be reached at GlobeSt.com’s publication deadline to learn the estimated cost of the project. But area construction industry estimators tell GlobeSt.com the venture will probably be built at $70 per sf or a total build-out cost of about $63 million.
