PALO ALTO, CA-The Palo Alto Theater will reopen in six weeks under a joint venture of Equity Office Properties Trust and CinéArts, a new theater concept for Century Theatres that focuses on independent, documentary, foreign and art films.

Century’s version of the concept made its debut last year in Evanston, IL. The six-screen theater at Palo Alto Square will mark CinéArts’ second location in the country, replacing Landmark Theater, which was previously located in the space. “We know the community is eager to have continued access to independent and artistic films,” says Peter Adams, senior vice president in Equity’s strategic planning and operations unit.
