The space is inside the 2.2-million sf Irwindale Business Center. California Community News, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Times, took 324,520 sf at the complex for a 10-year term.
The development stands at 5091 4th St. The master-planned business park is being developed, marketed and managed by Trammell Crow Co.
Phil Lombardo, a Trammell Crow principal, represented landlord Crow Holdings Industrial Trust in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Bennett Robinson of CB Richard Ellis.
The Times' California Community News subsidiary provides typesetting, printing and related services. It also prints several advertising sections and five community newspapers.
The Times itself is owned by Chicago-based Tribune Co., which publishes the flagship Chicago Tribune and owns several TV stations as well as the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
