The bad news is that at an Eagles concert to celebrate the opening, thousands of fans couldn't hear them rock. Eagles manager Irving Azoff says he will refund the ticket price to those seated in the upper bowls who couldn't hear the music. Whether the sound problems were caused by a design flaw or by the Eagles' audio technicians is yet to be resolved.
One problem may be a design that places the stadium seating almost totally on steel treads and risers, allowing football fans to create what is known as ''Rocky Mountain Thunder'' during games.
Before the concert, a top executive at Turner Construction, the general contractor, told GlobeSt.com that special seating -- which basically makes the stadium noisy -- was one of the more unusual design features that made the construction of Invesco Field at Mile High a difficult job.
