$76-Mil Development Coming to RiverPlace

PORTLAND-The Portland Development Commission approves terms of a purchase and development offer made by developer Homer Williams' RiverPlace Partners LLC, which plans a luxury hotel and 170 condominiums on 2.5-acres on the southeast corner of Southwest River Parkway and Moody Avenue.

PORTLAND-One of the few remaining undeveloped parcels in RiverPlace is close to being sold. On Friday, the Portland Development Commission approved terms of a purchase and development offer for 2.5-acres on the southeast corner of Southwest River Parkway and Moody Avenue, just north of the Marquam Bridge.

The buyer is Homer Williams’ RiverPlace LLC, which plans to partner with Seattle developer Gordon Sondland on a 110-room luxury hotel and 170 condominiums. The condos would be in two buildings on the west side of the property. Sondland, who developed a new Westin Hotel in Portland recently, is reportedly negotiating with Inter-Continental hotels to operate the hotel.
