The entire building is 380,000 sf, and Sidley Austin will lease 190,000 sf.
Last week, GlobeSt.com reported that the building was already 88 percent leased.
The law firm said in a statement that it would occupy floors six through ten, plus a portion of the fifth floor, as well as a recessed English basement.
The firm has 175 lawyers and another 200 professional staff.
The new space will also bring the firm's separate offices together, which were joined earlier by merger.
Then Sidley & Austin committed to the move in 1998, when it was located at 17th and Eye Streets. That firm then merged with Brown & Wood, which is relocating from 1666 K Street.
The law firm's space was designed by Gensler, and will include a law library, multiple large case rooms and what the firm describes as an "enormous" mock courtroom.
