Development includes the Bon Marche building and a 119,000-sf plaza. Englewood, CO.-based RAS Builders Inc. will head up the Bon Marche construction project.
Famous Footwear, Linens 'n Things and Old Navy have announced they will locate in the plaza, but it's uncertain when construction on that portion of the project will begin.
Gresham, OR-based Center Oak Properties bought the mall for about $9 million in April 1999 from Cleveland-based First Union Real Estate Investments.
Construction previously had been delayed after the city of Yakima and Mercy Enterprises, which owns the land adjacent to the mall, raised some environmental concerns. But no appeals were made to the final study released earlier this month, and construction was allowed to proceed.
