City Council Cans Public Meeting

OLYMPIA, WA-The City Council decides to cancel a public forum later this month. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the creation of a hotel and conference center on Port of Olympia property along Budd Inlet.

City staffers say the goal of that agreement would be to establish a utilities district. Provided all parties agree, a portion of sales tax revenue from the three cities could then be used to help finance a feasibility study of and ultimately the construction and maintenance of the conference center.
