Mohawk currently is located at another site in Aurora. It will relocate and expand its warehousing and distribution operations to the larger Majestic Realty property in October. The new facillity will employ about 30.
Geoff Kreusser and Tom Stahl of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, Inc. represented Mohawk Industries on the lease. Mohawk is also a Majestic Realty tenant at business park locations in Salt Lake City and Southern California.
"Mohawk's long-term relationship with Majestic Realty Co., coupled with the high quality product available at the Commercenter, helped make its final decision to expand its operations and stay in the city of Aurora an easy one," Kreusser says. "This is a well designed, high end warehousing and distribution center that will serve the company's needs well into the future."
Building #22 has 135,000 sf available immediately. The space is divisible to 50,000 sf.
Purchased by Majestic Realty Co. in 1995, the 1,000-acre Majestic Commercenter is a master-planned business park located at the northeast quadrant of Interstate 70. Majestic Commercenter will eventually include more than 15 million sf of commercial, manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution facilites.
Founded in 1948, Majestic is one of the nation's oldest and largest real estate firms, with a commercial, retail and industrial portfolio totaling more than 40 million sf. The southern-California-based company is a diversified commercial real estate developer specializing in planning and developing business parks and mixed-use commercial centers.
