The project, known as Desert Gateway Shopping Center, will be anchored by a 153,000-sf Sam's Club and a 148,759-sf Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart will include 74,702 sf of supermarket space. In addition to the two anchor tenants, the complex will feature 350,000 sf of additional retail stores and restaurants. A CB Richard Ellis team of Maggie Montez and Brent Howell is responsible for the project's marketing and leasing.

Designed by MCG Architects, the retail project will feature an upscale motif that plays off the desert location. Completion is scheduled for spring 2003.
