Berndt joined Staubach Retail Services in 1990 in Irvine, and transferred to San Francisco four years later to open the Northern California office. Berndt served as an associate prior to his promotion.
Berndt was an excellent candidate for the position, according to Alexander, because he has been active in assisting retailers with their expansion strategies. His clients include Barnes & Noble, AutoNation, Aaron Brothers, and Disney regional International.
