Spencer Hayes, principal and co-founder of Austin-based Colliers Oxford Commercial, has handled the transaction for Capital Spectrum and Greg Johnson, vice president leasing in the Chicago-based Transwestern Commercial Services' Austin office, represented the building owner, Koll Bren Schreiber.
Capital Spectrum is the third tenant at the 280,000-sf center at 6800 Burleson Road near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The facility had housed Lockheed Martin Co.'s operations in Austin. The other tenants are Advanced Micro Devices and the Lower Colorado River Authority, which has 61,000 sf.
Capital Spectrum, which traces its history to 1939, is moving from 1 Red River in the Austin CBD and 5214 Burleson Rd., Hayes says. The 80,000 sf at the Bergstrom Center is bigger than the company's other locations combined, he says.
