CHICAGO-The recently renovated 175 W. Jackson Blvd. has lured the US Securities and Exchange Commission away from the Citicorp Center at 500 W. Madison St. The agency has leased 67,687 sf in the former Insurance Exchange Building, which recently underwent an $80-million renovation that turned it from a class C to a class A property.

“Because of the unusually large, 68,000-sf floor plate at 175 W. Jackson, the SEC will be able to house all of its office space on one floor in the building,” says Menahem Deitcher, leasing director for the building.

The Staubach Company represented the SEC in negotiations that produced a 10-year lease of the building’s ninth floor.
