Surgical Company Leases Sunnyvale Building

SUNNYVALE, CA-Intuitive Surgical Inc. leases 88,000 sf in a flex building here in a deal that comes with an option to occupy the building's remaining 17,300 sf in two years.

Rents in Sunnyvale average around $21 per sf, annually, triple net for this type of space.Intuitive signed a five-year lease. It was represented in lease negotiations by Andy Koenig and Craig Zodikoff with Equis Corp. David Haugh of Grubb & Ellis and Mark Schmidt of Insignia represented the landlord, RNM Technology Drive.

Haugh tells GlobeSt.com that the two-story building will provide convenient access for Intuitive's employees, since the company is only moving about four miles, and the space is close to the expressway.
