37,400-SF Office Building Sells for $5.35 Mil

HAYWARD, CA-An engineering and mechanical contracting firm purchases the Amador Plaza office building -- the only building for sale in the area that fit the company's needs.

HAYWARD, CA-An engineering firm has purchased Hayward’s Amador Plaza from the Matteson Cos. for $5.35 million, in a transaction that is one of few seen in Southern Alameda County this year.

Marelich Mechanical Co., Inc., an engineering and mechanical contracting firm, bought the 37,400-sf space at 24041 Amador Street for a price that works out to about $143 per sf, a price that is well below average market price in the Bay Area. However, it is comparable to other areas in Hayward.

Bob Ferraro and Dan Bergen of Colliers International represented the seller, The Mattheson Cos. in the transaction, while Marelich was represented by Steve Chess of the Sutherland Co.
