Home Depot now owns the four-acre parcel off of 120th Avenue Northeast, which Minneapolis, MN-based Best Buy will lease from the home improvement retailer.
As of March 3, 2001, Best Buy operated 419 Best Buy stores in 41 states. The goal is to have more than 550 stores nationwide by the year 2004. The stores average 45,400 square feet and produce average annual sales of nearly $39 million. Best Buy stores collectively had 19 million retail square feet.
Best Buy intends to add three new Seattle stores this fall to its four-facility staple in Washington, which includes stores in Bellingham, Seattle, Spokane and Tukwila.
