Lease activity in the office sector has been slowing in recent months, as corporations are tightening their belts in the face of a shaky economy. As other companies have been consolidating their operations, Manatt, Phelps & Phillips recently announced that they plan to open a new Orange County office in Costa Mesa this month. The firm signed a lease for 10,000 sf of office space in The Offices of South Coast Plaza, as reported by Globest.com. Seven Manatt lawyers, including the firm's co-founder Thomas D. Phelps, will base their practices in Orange County.
