The partnership with Wescom will explore ways to take the machine national by evaluating states' regulations, identifying district partners, developing a maintenance system and integrating standardized accounting and cash management systems. The joint venture, named Washington Station LLC, will be located in Seattle and will draw staff from BGI and Wescom. "We see a substantial growth opportunity in a marketplace that has been largely underdeveloped," Reid Funderburk, BGI's CEO, said in a prepared statement.

BGI, based in Austin, operates prepaid phone card machines and rents bingo halls. Introduced earlier this year, the Charity Station machine. Lucky Strike prepaid phone card dispensers and provides charitable organizations with alternative fund raising programs with its Charity Station machine. Privately-held Wescom is strategic planning and consulting firm.
