In this role, Herrera will manage bank operations dedicated to creating economic opportunity forlow- and moderate-income consumers and entrepreneurs, as well as the construction of affordable housing units and other community development projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.
In 2000, CDBG financed construction of 5,592 affordable housing units inthe Northwest. Additionally, $355 million in small business loans were madepossible for Idaho, Oregon and Washington businessmen and businesswomen.These activities were in support of the Bank of America 10-year $350 billioncommitment to community development commitment efforts across the company's21-state franchise.
