Detroit Newspapers Lease Space in Suburbs

PONTIAC, MI-A Downtown office here will allow the Detroit News and Free Press, two separate papers involved in a joint operating agreement, to improve distribution from the county seat of the third-wealthiest county in the US.

PONTIAC, MI-Grubb & Ellis of Southfield has negotiated the lease of 30,800 sf of industrialspace to The Detroit Newspaper Agency in Downtown, increasing the news group’s service in southeastern Michigan. The build-to-suit facility, located at 70 E. Industrial Drive, will be the flash point for delivery to every store and newspaper box in Oakland County where The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press newspapers are sold.

Both newspapers, under separate ownership, are printed and distributed under a joint operating agreement with Detroit Newspapers. The two papers are recognized as Michigan’s largest daily newspapers.
