Hensel Phelps Ready To Repair Pentagon

GREELEY, CO-President Jerry Morgensen expects to hear soon if his company will help repair damage to the nation's defense headquarters. The firm was preparing to sign a 10-year, $680-million contract to remodel the Pentagon.

GREELEY, CO-Hensel Phelps, based in this city north of Boulder, was poised this week to sign a 10-year, $680-million contract to remodel the Pentagon building. In fact, about a half dozen employees from Colorado’s largest general contracting firm were in the building when terrorists crashed the plane into the gigantic building Tuesday morning.

“They all got out,” says Jerry Morgensen, president of the firm. “They were not hurt…which is all that I’m interested right now.”

Morgensen expects to hear in the coming days what his company’s role will be, if any, in repairing the damage.
