Krispy Kreme, Olive Garden Readying Plans for La Frontera Locations

ROUND ROCK, TX-It's been rumored for some time, but now the news is out: Krispy Kreme and Olive Garden will be setting up shop in La Frontera. The two popular eateries have secured adjacent retail pads in Round Rock's 825,000-sf La Frontera Village.

ROUND ROCK, TX-Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. and Olive Garden restaurant are going to be neighbors in Round Rock’s La Frontera, a premier development situated north of Austin.

The local franchiser of the Winston-Salem, NC-based doughnut chain and Darden Corp., the FL-based owner of Olive Garden, have closed on adjacent lots in La Frontera Village, which has Interstate 35 frontage. The lots have been staked for pads. Krispy Kreme is to begin construction soon, with a pre-Christmas opening planned.

The 825,000-sf La Frontera Village is the retail component to the 329-acre La Frontera mixed-used project. David Berndt Interests, based in Dallas, and Developers Diversified Realty of Cleveland are the developers of La Frontera Village.
