$17.6 Mil Sale Could Signal Westside Rebound

LOS ANGELES-Encompassing 88,215 sf, the Marina Corporate Centre office building is fully leased to Edu Trek International. It is the second large office building to be sold in the West LA area in recent weeks, and local experts are optimistic that these and other pending transactions signal a recovery in the Westside market.

LOS ANGELES-Summit Commercial Properties Inc. has acquired West LA’s Marina Corporate Centre for $17.6 million. Located directly across from the Playa Vista development, the six-story building encompasses 88,215 sf.

The facility, which stands at 12655 W. Jefferson Blvd., is 100% occupied. It is fully leased to Edu Trek, a subsidiary of Illinois-based Career Education Corp. Edu Trek recently relocated to its current site, having consolidated and expanded its operations from previous sites in Westwood.

El Segundo-based Summit Commercial was represented by a Colliers Seeley brokerage team consisting of Michael Ross, Craig Meyer and Steve Solomon. The brokers also represented the seller, Irvine-based Legacy Partners.
