B-Serv will itself work with a small number of accredited suppliers to drive down costs and ensure quality. The cost savings will be passed directly to customers. King Sturge and Insignia Richard Ellis will remain Brixton's preferred agents for landlord & tenant work, but leasing instructions may go to a wider range of firms.

B-Serv is to be led by Steve Lee, who joined Brixton in March 2001 from Citex, where he was Managing Director. 'Brixton has more than 750 tenants, and we see the launch of B-Serv as a way to firstly enhance these relationships and then offer its benefits to a wider audience,' said Lee. 'B-Serv will provide a competitive edge giving true customer economies which will lead to void reduction and higher retention levels.'
