Airlines serving Portland International Airport collectively plan to offer about 50% to 55% of their normal daily flights through mid-week. By the end of the week, the airlines hope to offer about 75% to 80% of their normal flights, according to the Port of Portland, which operates the airport.

Heightened security measures continue throughout the airport. Checkpoint security continues to confiscate items such as long bladed scissors, metal hair picks and cork screws. Unattended vehicles on the terminal roadway are being towed, and unattended bags in the terminal are being immediately removed and searched.

As elsewhere, curbside baggage check-in has been eliminated. Frontier, Horizon, and United airlines are asking all passengers to check in at the ticket counters. For all other airlines, passengers with carry-on bags may proceed directly to the gate if they have an airline ticket, or e-ticket, and photo identification. Only ticketed passengers are allowed past security checkpoints.

All cargo carriers serving PDX are operating, but many are not at full capacity. Some cargo carriers may not be guaranteeing delivery times on expedited cargo deliveries. General Aviation operations are approved only for Instrument Flight Rules at PDX.
