Shoe Show Steps into San Antonio Market

SAN ANTONIO-A North Carolina-based shoe retailer is launching its first San Antonio store, with plans for as many as six citywide. Shoe Show has grabbed a spot for a concept store in an up and coming retail development in the southeast submarket.

SAN ANTONIO-Shoe Show Inc., the country’s largest privately owned shoe retailer with stores in 30 states, is planning its first San Antonio store and has several more on the drawing board.

The store, one of the company’s Shoe Dept. concept shops, will be in a retail development at Rigsby Avenue and Loop 410 in San Antonio’s southeast submarket. The overall development includes a Wal-Mart supercenter store.

“I anticipate our opening five or six new stores in the future,” Koyt Everheart, a Shoe Show real estate executive, tells GlobeSt.com. He didn’t have a timetable for the San Antonio expansion.
