The building stands at 3095 E. Cedar St., west of Interstate 15. It's owned by Denver-based ProLogis, one of the nation's largest developers of logistics facilities.

The path for VW's move was cleared several weeks ago, when the automaker sublet the 287,000 sf of space it occupied in City of Industry for several years to Intercon Merchandise for seven and one-half years for about $8 million.

ProLogis was represented in the Ontario transaction by Larry Harmsen and Allen Jackel. Phil Lombardo of Trammell Crow Co. represented Volkswagen in both of the deals, and also represented Intercon in the sublease.
