Safeway Grocery Store 2620 is scheduled to begin development at the end of the year. The developer, Wall Street Properties, will construct a 55,000 sf building on a 9-acre site at Woodcreek Oaks and Blue Oaks Boulevards in Roseville. The store will cost an estimated $4 million to build, and will feature 745 parking spaces.
The other two stores will be built in conjunction with this store, featuring the same architectural plan. Safeway Grocery Store 1724 will be built in Placerville's El Dorado Village. The third store does not have a scheduled start date but will eventually be constructed in Woodland.
In addition, a new shopping center in the area is under construction. New Renaissance Creek Shopping Center is a $15 million project being built by the Westerra Group. The center will consist of a 153,000 sf building at Sierra and Douglas Streets in Roseville.
