Valley Candle, formerly a division of Greenwich, CN-based Blythe Candles, opted for the space at 66-11 Otto Rd. because it fulfilled the company's main criteria: rail access. The property, which was leased by owner Ridgewood Realty LLC for $10 per square foot, is near railroad tracks and is large enough to accommodate the growing firm.
Hunter Realty managing director Gregory Kraut and Frank Zuckerbrot of Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC, who represented the tenant in the co-brokered transaction, negotiated with New York & Atlantic Railway to run connecting track directly to the building.
