The company, Golden Star LLC, has paid $2 million for the vacant plot. The parcel, which is located close to 2370 Crenshaw Blvd., is the proposed site of Torrance Star Plaza, a planned 20,000-sf shopping complex.

The complex will feature a Mediterranean design and will include 12 retail stores, ranging in size from 1,200 sf to 10,000 sf, according to a company spokesperson. Located in close proximity to Crenshaw Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, the center will have a parking ratio of 5 to 1000.

Sheri Messerlian and Eric Herold of NAI Capital Commercial represented both Golden Star LLC and the seller, Jim Yates and Mary Petros, in the transaction.

Messerlian and Herold have been retained as exclusive leasing agents for the Torrance Star Plaza. "We are currently negotiating with prospective national and regional tenants regarding available space at the new center," Messerlian says.
