TORRANCE, CA-A 1.5-acre parcel in Torrance has been acquired by a limited liability company that plans to build a retail center on the site.

The company, Golden Star LLC, has paid $2 million for the vacant plot. The parcel, which is located close to 2370 Crenshaw Blvd., is the proposed site of Torrance Star Plaza, a planned 20,000-sf shopping complex.

The complex will feature a Mediterranean design and will include 12 retail stores, ranging in size from 1,200 sf to 10,000 sf, according to a company spokesperson. Located in close proximity to Crenshaw Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, the center will have a parking ratio of 5 to 1000.
