Those traveling by car will be forced to use the Bremerton car ferries or drive around via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Washington State Ferries will hold an open house from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at Sedgwick Junior High, 8995 Sedgwick Road in Port Orchard, WA. The goal of the meeting will be to answer questions about the project and discuss transportation alternatives.

In addition, WSF will survey riders about how they intend to travel during the closure.

The Southworth terminal will receive a new transfer span, foundation, towers and dolphins. WSF will also take this time to do some needed maintenance, including paving, plumbing and electrical upgrades.
