City's Zoning Board Bars Buses from Neighborhood

BOSTON-In a victory for South Boston residents in their long-running battle with Greyhound Lines Inc., the city's Zoning board of Appeals votes to bar the bus company from parking buses in a depot that borders a residential neighborhood.

BOSTON-This city’s Zoning Board of Appeals voted to bar Greyhound Lines Inc. from parking its buses here on company-owned lots that border a residential neighborhood in South Boston. The ruling is a victory for local residents who have been engaged in a long-running battle with the bus company over where it parks its buses.

City Councilor James Kelly was involved in lobbying against Greyhound, according to his spokesperson, Paul Walkowski. The councilor spoke at the meeting of the board of appeals and opposed their request for another delay in the appeal.
