The House of Sportsman corporation has paid $11.5 million for the property. Located at 2700 N. Main St., the 12-story building is adjacent to the Main Place Mall.

The seller, Asset Management Consultants Inc., acquired the property in 1999. It then invested approximately $600,000 in improvements to the building. "In order to upgrade and modernize this highly visible property, we renovated and upgraded the exterior, as well as the entire lobby," says Russ Hardt, Asset Management's director of acquisitions.

Asset Management specializes in pooling investor, broker and capital resources to acquire income-producing real estate and non-performing notes in the $2 million - $20 million range. The full-service real estate company is based in Mission Hills.

Both Asset Management and the House of Sportsman were represented by Al Pekarcik and Rob Mitchell of Voit Commercial's Irvine office.
