Dallas' Class A Office Leasing Shows Glimmer of Hope

DALLAS-The Dallas-Ft. Worth office market has slowed, but it’s not at a standstill. Five pacts, totaling 33,538 sf, have closed for class A space in the corridor from Plano to Dallas.

“People still need space. The rates are lowering and leasing agents are creative,” David Painter, vice president of Dallas-based Stream Realty Partners LP, tells GlobeSt.com. Painter has closed three of the five deals.

Providence Towers, situated at 5001 Spring Valley, is getting the Silvera & Associates law firm in a direct lease instead of its present sublease. And, Silvera gets one of the best views in the city, snagging the arch of the high-profile Providence Tower. The firm has signed a 6,483-sf lease. In another class A signing, the Easely & Marquis law firm will be moving into 6,000 sf at the Legacy Bank Building at 5000 Legacy Dr. in Plano.
