The development plan, which was devised by Caruso Affiliated Holdings, calls for a 1.7-acre community park surrounded by 300,000-sf of retail space and up to 500 multifamily residential units. The project will rise on a 15.8-acre site bounded by Brand Boulevard and Colorado Street. Construction is slated to begin in Fall 2002.

Santa Monica-based Caruso was selected in March by the Glendale City Council to develop the project. "We've spent several months soliciting input from the community on the development concept," says Rick J. Caruso, CEO of Caruso Affiliated Holdings. "This plan reflects what the residents want in their community – a great civic gathering place and a vibrant live/work/play environment."
