LOS ANGELES-Glendale’s Town Center project has moved one step closer to reality, as the city’s redevelopment agency has unanimously approved a development plan for the $100-million project. The green light means that the EIR process can now begin.

The development plan, which was devised by Caruso Affiliated Holdings, calls for a 1.7-acre community park surrounded by 300,000-sf of retail space and up to 500 multifamily residential units. The project will rise on a 15.8-acre site bounded by Brand Boulevard and Colorado Street. Construction is slated to begin in Fall 2002.
