Insignia Beefs Up Staff in Washington

WASHINGTON, DC-Larry Twerdok comes on board as a senior managing director for the mid-Atlantic, while the firm beefs up its retail brokerage division by adding Jason Flippo.

WASHINGTON, DC-Larry Twerdok comes on board as a senior managing director for the mid-Atlantic, while the firm beefs up its retail brokerage division by adding Jason Flippo. WASHINGTON, DC-Insignia/ESG has expanded its staff here. The firm announced that Larry A. Twerdok has joined the commercial real estate brokerage as senior managing director of accounting and operations for the mid-Atlantic region. Twerdok is responsible for overseeing all corporate accounting department responsibilities for the region. Twerdok has more than 20 years of accounting and financial experience. He previously served as chief operating officer of Barnes Morris, Pardoe & Foster, a regional commercial real estate firm, ultimately orchestrating the sale of the company to Insignia. And before that, Twerdok was chief financial officer of several local companies, including Signal Construction.

At the same time the company added to its executive ranks, it also beefed up its brokers in the retail real estate division, adding Jason Flippo. Flippo will be based in Washington, but will focus on retail in the entire metropolitan area, including Maryland and Northern Virginia. Before coming to Insignia, he was an associate at Grubb & Ellis, where he represented tenants and landlords throughout the area.
