According to Charlie Kenney, spokesperson for McCourt, Alternative Concepts Inc, a transportation consulting business, has hired the lobbying firm Cassidy New England to work with state and city officials. The state has promised $100 million in infrastructure money if a ballpark is built in the Fenway. That money is not guaranteed if the ballpark is built in another location.

But Kenney believes that McCourt's project has a chance at getting that financing relocated. "If we are going to develop a ballpark, elected leaders can get together and create a piece of legislation," he tells GlobeSt.com. "We've been told that that money is portable. The money would go where the ballpark goes, if the infrastructure money is needed."
