The lunch will run from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the athletic club at 1849 SW Salmon. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. Attendance is $20 for CREW members and $30 for nonmembers. For more information call Pat Fuller at 503-768-4299.

Speakers at the even will include SIOR's Western Regional Vice President Don Ossey, Oregon Chapter President Buzz Ellis and its Vice President Jay Jacobsmuhlen, Stu Peterson of Macadam Forbes and Dave Brown of Macadam Columbia Commercial Properties.

Ossey tells GloebSt.com the panel will look at how the terrorist attacks have affected the real estate markets, how Portland stacks up against other markets of comparable size, and generally give an overview of where the local market has been and where it is going.

"The market has shifted to tenants and buyers, but it's a short-term situation in Portland, says Ossey."We still have a fairly balanced market that's not over built, and while vacancies have gone up, the rise hasn't been as dramatic as other West Coast Markets, so when the global economy sorts itself, Portland stand poised to benefit quickly from the economic recovery."
