Washington Mutual Leases 134,182 SF

VERNON HILLS, IL-The 525-acre Continental Executive Parke draws the lender to 101,073-sf and 33,109-sf spaces in a deal worth $12.5 million. It's the second 100,000-sf-plus lease in Lake County this year.

VERNON HILLS, IL-Residential mortgage giant Washington Mutual Inc. has leased 101,073 sf at 340 N. Milwaukee Ave., in the 525-acre Continental Executive Parke. The lease, valued at $12.5-million, is one of the largest in the Lake County submarket this year.

Also this year, Abbott Laboratories leased 116,000 sf in the nearby North Shore suburb of Lake Forest.

Seattle-based Washington Mutual will move 500 employees into its new space next month. In addition, the lender leased another 33,109 sf at 560 Bunker Ct., also in Continental Executive Parke for 100 employees who needed space immediately.
