The headquarters will rise on a 5.3-acre parcel located at 8300 San Fernando Rd. near Interstate 5. It will include 20,000 sf of mezzanine office space and 118,000-sf of warehouse space, featuring 28-ft minimum clearance, dock high loading and a state-of-the-art material handling system. Oltmans Construction Co. is the project's general contractor and The Hewson Co. is the construction manager. Designed by Hill Pinckert Architects, the project is scheduled for completion in mid-2002.

The complex, which will more than double Industrial Metal's plant capacity, will replace its current facilities in Burbank. Approximately 220 people will be employed at the Sun Valley site.

Industrial Metal is a full line metal service and retail center, which counts everyone from set designers to machine shops as its customers. Aside from its headquarters, it also has branches in Irvine, San Diego and Phoenix, AZ.
