She was praised for her role in Denver's involvement in the redevelopment of the former Stapleton International Airport and the affordable housing plan, along with Forest City and the Stapleton Development Corp. Moulton also was instrumental in the planning of Denver's Civic Center office building under construction and the new addition planned for the Denver Art Museum.

CREW's Pioneer Award was given to Jon Stern, publisher and founder of the Colorado Real Estate Journal, the only Denver-based publication devoted exclusively to commercial real estate.

The award recognizes an individual whose contributions to Colorado commercial real estate are so unique and far reaching that they can't be honored in any other category. Stern launched his newspaper in February 1992, when Denver was suffering from some of the highest office vacancy rates and lowest rental rates in the nation.

This year, at a luncheon titled ''Celebrating Women of Influence'' at the Adam's Mark Hotel, an Unsung Hero category also was added. Pan Finch, a senior paralegal at the law firm Gorsuch Kirgis, was lauded for 28 years in the business, where she handled the closings of some of the largest deals in the metro area.

Bank One Corp. was given the Champion Award for making exceptional efforts to support women in commercial real estate and to encourage others to increase their efforts. Bank One offers flexible schedules, tuition reimbursement and adoption assistance programs, among others. Of the 14 people on its commercial real estate lending team, 11 of them are women.

Lona J. Anderson, associate manager for Mortgage Investments at Great-West Life Assurance Co., whose US headquarters is in Denver, was given the Outstanding Service Award. Anderson notes she just closed a sale in Columbus, OH, by contacting a CREW member.

The CREW Denver Member of the Year was given to Karen Landers of Land Title Guarantee Co. for giving a lot of her time to the network during the pat year.

And the CREW Denver's President's Award was given to Paulette Wray of CRESA Partners and Lisa Meireis of US Bank.

CREW Network is a national affiliation of 43 local members in the U.S. and Canada. It counts among its ranks more than 4,500 member. It was founded in 1989.
