Cornerstone Names Colton to Board

RICHMOND, VA-Kent W. Colton, the former executive vice president and CEO of the 205,000-member National Association of Home Builders, will serve as a director of the REIT until the company's annual shareholders meeting in 2002 when he will be up for re-election.

RICHMOND, VA-Cornerstone Realty Income Trust Inc. has named Kent W. Colton, one of the real estate industry’s most visible personalities, as a director. He will serve until the company’s annual shareholders meeting in 2002 when he will be up for re-election.

Colton was executive vice president and CEO of the 205,000-member National Association of Home Builders from April 1984 through May 1999.

He is currently a senior scholar at Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing.
