Senate Approves $55-Mil Renovation of Naval Shipyard

SAN FRANCISCO-The Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco will see a cleanup and expansion of its housing in preparation for possible military action.

SAN FRANCISCO-The U.S Senate has approved $55 million to renovate the contaminated Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco, in an effort to prepare and provide emergency housing for a possible war.

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has announced that the Senate has approved $10.5 billion for military construction, housing and remediation projects, including $55 million for cleanup and renovation efforts at the military base in Hunters Point.
